S. J. Watson

S. J. Watson is a British novelist. He is also known as Steven J. Watson.
Biography
Watson was born in the Midlands. He has worked in the National Health Service for a number of years, in the diagnosis and treatment of the deaf, but went part time in order to concentrate on his writing. He attended a course at the Faber Academy (run by Faber and Faber), where he was tutored by novelists Richard Skinner and Louise Doughty. It was on this course that he was discovered by Clare Conville.
Novels
* Watson's debut novel is called Before I Go to Sleep. It is an upmarket psychological suspense thriller and is due to be published by Transworld in the UK and HarperCollins in the US. HarperCollins are rumoured to have paid a seven figure sum for the rights to the novel. UK publication is set for Spring 2011.
* His second book is called Nine Lives and has been described as a psychological mystery, exploring themes of identity, jealousy and desire. Release date to be announced.
