A straight path

The novel a Straight Path is the first book from the British author Louise M. H. Miller. The novel is set in India in 1857 and follows the story of Anne Greene, a wife and mother whose life is thrown into chaos when Mutiny breaks out over Northern India. The book was first published 13 February 2013.

On the dawn of Mutiny Karim, an idealistic soldier, witnesses the punishment of his fellow sepoys and joins the uprising which erupts around him and fights against the British for personal and national retribution. Both of their lives are worlds apart, but each are forced upon a path set before them by the Mutiny.

Louise M.H. Miller
Louise was born just outside of Cambridge and moved to Yorkshire at a very early age. She attended University at Hull, where she studied History and discovered her passion for the history of the British Empire. After leaving university she worked as a bookseller and then as a librarian before putting pen to paper. A Straight Path (2013) is her first novel.
