One Jonathan is an indie/garage/reggae band from North Avoca on the Central Coast region of NSW. The four-piece consists of brothers Rob and Matt Swords, Jon Lake and Michael Coughlan. They have toured with Philadelphia Grand Jury and were hand picked to play at the Coaster Music Festival in 2009. They were also included in the line-up on the 2010 Peats Ridge New Years Festival. Other recent support slots have included The Beautiful Girls, Bertie Blackman, British India, Bob Evans, Kram and Trial Kennedy. One Jonathan received many positive reviews after enrolling in the Triple J Unearthed competition and continue to perform on a regular basis around Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast. Their music has been known to have elements of African jungle sounds.. It has also been described as garage, likened to that of 70's pioneers such as The Clash.
