Sòrcha Carr is an Irish-born New Zealand teenage activist in the ongoing climate strikes and protests across the world. She has also served as a member of the radical activist group known as the Extinction Rebellion.
Sòrcha Carr first became a notable leader in the School Strike for Climate when she appeared in a stuff article in May 2019. Sòrcha Carr would appear in several more articles, numerous times on live TV and videos of her speeches were popularized via social media. Videos and photos of her being escorted by police were spread around online on 7th of October 2019, after she was arrested for blocking streets in the New Zealand capital.
