Young Sinatra: Undeniable
|
Young Sinatra: Undeniable is the third official mixtape released by American rapper Logic (not including Logic: The Mixtape, which was released under the moniker Psychological). It was released on April 30, 2012 by Visionary Music Group on DatPiff. To date, it has been downloaded over 3.5 million times, being certified double platinum on the website. Throughout the project, Logic discusses his troubled upbringing, including his parents' drug addiction and being expelled from school. The mixtape has a sole guest feature from rapper Shy Grey, who, at the time, was known as C Dot Castro. After the release of the mixtape, Logic landed a deal with Def Jam Recordings and had kept it a secret until 2013. It is unknown if this mixtape was the cause. Critical reception The mixtape received positive reviews. Rose Lilah of HotNewHipHop said that the mixtape "doesn't disappoint, it's just Logic going in on every track, with one feature from Castro, and a lot of dope production." A user by the name of Withinthemargin posted a review of the mixtape on Sputnikmusic, stating that while "the decent string of love songs gets repetitive, and even annoying", and that the mixtape "wasn't cohesive", he said that it is a "must-listen."
