Ryanair Flight 3445

Ryanair Flight 3445 was a flight from Manchester Airport, United Kingdom to Palma de Mallorca Airport, Spain which suffered a bird strike in it's left engine and made an emergency landing at Manchester Airport.
Incident
Flight 3445 took off from Manchester Airport, United Kingdom on route to Palma de Mallorca Airport, Spain at 5:57 PM. The crew of the flight declared an emergency only a few minutes later. A bird had been sucked into the left engine during take-off resulting in the plane having difficulty to gain much height. Passengers said that when the bird hit the engine, a loud bang was heard and that the aircraft began to shake voilently.
The aircraft circled 9 times around Manchester Airport and Rochdale at 3.500 feet to burn fuel in order to make an emergency landing. The plane made a succesfull emergency landing back at Manchester Airport around 7 PM.
Aftermath
There were no injuries or fatalities and the passengers were diverted to another flight. The plane was quickly repaired and went back to service a short time later. Just the previous month on 14 March 2016, a bird struck an Egypt Air passenger jet with 71 people on board leaving a large dent in its nose as it was coming in to land at Heathrow airport.
