Samhita Mukhopadhyay is one of the editors at feminist blog Feministing.com. She also works with the Center for Media Justice and has blogged for The Nation, Wiretap Magazine, Colorlines Magazine and The American Prospect.She is also on the board of Wiretap Magazine, an online magazine that aims to promot youth voices in the movement for social change. She writes about a wide range of issues, including gender equity and race, from a perspective that connects the personal and political. She became involved with Feministing when she bumped into former women's studies classmate Jessica Valenti on the street shortly after the site's inception. She is a graduate of SUNY-Albany and describes herself as a reformed punk-rock party girl.
