Ryan Zehl

Ryan Zehl is a personal injury attorney and founder of Zehl & Associates, a law firm based in Houston, Texas. He has been recognized as one of the "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" in the United States by the The National Trial Lawyers Association.
Prior to founding Zehl & Associates, Zehl was a partner at Fitts Zehl LLP and a briefing attorney for Justice Scott Brister at the Texas Supreme Court.
In 2013, NewsWeek Magazine recognized his firm as a Leader in Maritime Law.
Career
Zehl represented Claudia Falkenberg in a sexual harassment lawsuit against Jimmy Bedford, a former master distiller.
In 2010, Zehl reached a confidential settlement with British Petroleum (BP) and Transocean for five workers who were injured while working onboard the BP Deepwater Horizon when it exploded. Later that year, Zehl reached a settlement with International Paper for David and Darren Clark, as a result of injuries they received when a boiler exploded at one of International Paper's mills in Mississippi.
In 2012, he recovered the largest accident verdict in Texas ($18.8 million) against Greyhound bus company on behalf of a passenger who injured her lower back when the bus rolled over on icy roads on the Texas-Oklahoma border.
In 2013, Zehl represented a shipworker in a lawsuit against Offshore Liftboats LLC and K&K Offshore for injuries he received when he was dropped over 20 feet while working offshore.
In January 2014, Zehl represented Joseph Lavon James in a lawsuit against Harvey Gulf International Marine LLC. In April, Zehl obtained a $4.1 million verdict against R&L Carriers, the largest privately owned trucking company in the country, for a client who was injured when her vehicle rolled over after being rear-ended by one of R&L's truck drivers.
