Rusif Shakir oglu Huseynov (; 24 August 1987) is an Azerbaijani researcher and political expert. He is the co-founder and director of the Topchubashov Center, as well as the co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Politicon online political magazine. Huseynov's main interests are socio-political processes in Post-Soviet states, frozen conflicts, and ethnic minorities. His research regions cover mainly Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Life Rusif Huseynov was born on 24 August 1987, in Sahil, Azerbaijan SSR. He was admitted to Baku State University in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in international relations. Huseynov received his master's degree from the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu. Huseynov established the Topchubashov Center in April 2018 together with Murad Muradov. The centre operates within the Regional Studies Public Union in Baku. Huseynov's articles and interviews were published in media outlets such as the Modern Diplomacy, The Independent, Visegrad Insight, New Eastern Europe, Centre for Strategic and Contemporary Research, the Jamestown Foundation, Ankara Center for Crisis and Policy Studies, The National Interest, Al Bawaba, TRT World, Vostokian, Polis180, Kyiv Post and so on.
