Bi Yantao

BI Yantao, educated in China, UK and Ireland, is an independent observer, nonpartisan freelancer, objective Tibetologist and communication professor based in mainland China.

Business
Bi Yantao is now Executive of Longilati Communication Co. Ltd.,President of World Society for Strategic Communication, Director of Center for Communication Studies, Hainan University, China. Prof. BI also acts as Director of Communication Research Center of Sanlue Institute, a thinktank based in Beijing. In the meantime, he works as a consultant for several entities. Since March 11, 2011 on, Prof. Bi is also Dean of Department of Advertisement, Hainan University,China.
Research
BI Yantao's main research interests are political communication, international communication and discourse analysis. He is a consistent advocate of empowering the civil society of China. Prof. Bi is among selected by Boxun.com, an influential citizen journalist Chinese website.
Prof. Bi is a contributing author of and a stringer of Allvoices.com. Meanwhile, he writes for dozens of influential Chinese media in the world, including Boxun.com, Beijing Spring, China Thinktank, China Elections and Governance, and so forth. As of September 2011 he has published 11 books and almost 500 articles in print media of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, UK, US, Canada and Germany.

Daizong Meditation Room
Daizong Meditation Room, established by Professor BI Yantao, is designed to promote the political communication studies in China and advance the democratization of the Chinese mainland. Situated at the foot of the world-famous Mount Taishan, Daizong Meditation Room is the first non-profit research center of its kind in China. It is open to all interested researchers over the world, free of charge.
