RP Singh Maini

Ravinder Pal Singh Maini (Advocate) (born 16 March 1976), better known as RP Singh Maini is an Indian lawyer and politician, and is currently a Spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal. He works on various posts either from Bharatiya Janata Party, Shiromani Akali Dal or from non government organization platforms. He is known for his effective way to represent the views of party as a spokesperson to public.
Early life and education
RP Singh Maini was born on 16 March 1976 in Tarn Taran, Punjab. His father's name is Parshotam Singh Maini. He completed Bachelor of Arts from Khalsa College, Amritsar in 1995 and LLB from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 1998. He is practicing at District Courts Amritsar and Tarn Taran since 1998.
Political career
RP Singh Maini joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2002 and appointed as General Secretary of BJP Amritsar Rural. He was appointed as district president of BJP, Tarn Taran from 2009 to 2015 (2 terms). In 2014, BJP appointed him a Spokesperson of state to represent the party views. He joined the Shiromani Akali Dal and party appointed him a Spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal.

RP Singh Maini joined Shiromani Akali Dal on 8 November 2020 under the leadership of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Ex- Cabinet Minister of Punjab & MLA Bikram Singh Majithia and senior party leaders & office bearers at Amritsar, Punjab, where Sukhbir Singh Badal also announced him a Spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal during press conference.
Personal life
He is married to Dr. Vaneet Kaur Maini on 22 September 2007. She is working as principal in public school. They have 2 children.
