Rory Quigley (born June 1983) is a New Zealand dark techno and house composer, musician and DJ. Early life Quigley was born in Auckland and grew up in South Auckland. He is one of four siblings having three younger sisters. He went to . He obtained his first love of music from his father and was involved with music throughout his schooling. At St Peter's College, Quigley was in the choir and the orchestra and participated in many productions. While at school and especially when he started going to night clubs, he fell in love with electronic dance music. Career While attending the big club nights at the Auckland night clubs, Code and Met, he saw Greg Churchill and Angela Fisken. Watching them inspired Quigley to get into DJing. He moved to Vancouver and made a name for himself in the clubs there. On returning to New Zealand he teamed up with a friend, Jamie D. They started producing and put out an EP. This encouraged Quigley to start making his own music. His range is very broad "from euphoric house to dark techno - and everything in between." However, Quigley's favorite music is the "darker side of house music." "A big part of my inspiration comes from the German and European music coming out these days, it's just so good.
