Robert Tuozzo

Born Robert Joseph Tuozzo in 1960 the son of Italian-born immigrant Sabino Joseph and Mayflower descendent Barbara Estelle. He was raised in Bensonhust, Brooklyn and attented PS 247, Seth Low JHS & John Dewey HS with Spike Lee.

The Musician
At the age of 17 Tuozzo began his professional career of touring and recording. He played to worldwide audiences with Juan Santana, first cousin of Carlos in the band named FAB. Tuozzo also played and recorded with The Difference, The New Bohiems & Lou May and The Two Tones.

Addiction / TV & Film
After the death of his Father in 1980, Tuozzo battled an addiction to cocaine and alcohol for the next 13 years. While in his active addiction, Tuozzo played roles in major motion pictures alongside #REDIRECT Michael Winslow of Police Academy , Ari Myers of KATE & ALI, The Barvairian Twins, Richard Moll of "NIGHT COURT" and others in "THINK BIG" Robert also appeared in the first 2 episodes of "ROLLER GAMES."

Recovery & Photography
In 1993 Robert returned to Brooklyn and found recovery in a 12 step program. He began his professional photography and stayed with his "ROCK & ROLL ROOTS". Robert again traveled around the world this time in front of the stage taking world class photos of WHITESNAKE, AEROSMITH, THE ROLLING STONES, THE POLICE, FORIEGNER and hundreds of A-list acts...

Music Community Ties
Tuozzo also became involved in major tour production and worked for the ROLLING STONES' "BRIDGES TO BABAYLON" tour in 1997 learning more about the industry from JAKE BERRY. Tuozzo also befriended MARK HOGUE, then AEROSMITH'S production manager and remains friends with him today.

The Publisher
In the Spring of 2004 Robert after having his photos published in many major publications such as CREEM, METAL EDGE, MODERN DRUMMER & more created his own Rock publication named 22nd Century Rock magazine.

Today
Today, Tuozzo resides in the desert Southwest and contiunes on his recovery journey, soon to celebtrate 15 years clean & sober on December 12, 2008. He has dabbled in tour management and has learned the ropes from his close friend, former MEGADETH founding member and bass player DAVID ELLEFSON.
