Cary The Label Guy

Cary The Label Guy (born Cary James Jordan Jr., in 1978 in Jacksonville, Florida, to mother Eva Jordan and father Cary Jordan Sr) is a Multi-instrumentalist. At age 8, Cary learned to play the Violin after hearing the song "All I Want Is You" by the Irish rock band U2. The song includes a long outro featuring a string arrangement that Cary heard and loved. Even though Cary was born into a non-instrumentalist family, his mother, father and two older sisters loved music. This love of music is what help propel Cary into the multi-instrumentalist he is today. As Cary grew older, he learned to play the Cello, Viola, Double bass, Saxophone, Guitar and Bass Guitar. Cary attented Jacksonville's Douglas Anderson School of the Arts(DASOTA), where he played the electric Bass Guitar and the Double Bass. There he was classically trained in jazz and classical studies. Cary's music career has spanned 15 years as a bassist, during which time he has played for several bands and projects.

Music career

Cary entered the music scene in 1994 as the bassist for his first band Equinoxx (contemporary jazz). Equinoxx was formed with fellow Douglas Anderson School of the Arts music major students, one of which was famed drummer and good friend Jeff Byrd and saxophonist Juan Roland. Equinoxx quickly grew notoriety for being young and talented. Equinoxx later played the Jacksonville Jazz Festival (America's second largest Jazz Festival) opening for Ken Navarro. This was Cary's first major performance in front of thousands of spectators. He was 16 years of age.

Cary later joined the metal-rock band Intercooled (2002), with long time friend and frontman Kyle Hallman. In Intercooled Cary opened for major rock acts like CKY, Shinedown and Trapt.
