Thee Ungodly Hour

Thee Ungodly Hour was to be former Flipmode Squad member, Lord Have Mercy first solo album that was due for release around 1998 on Flipmode and Elektra records.

Background
Rah Digga stated in a interview that the whole album was 100% finished but was shelved after Flipmode CEO, Busta Rhymes, came up with the beat for Rah Digga's "Tight" which Busta Rhymes though was gold, so he then put all of his time into Rah Digga's solo album, Dirty Harriet, forcing Lord Have Mercy to be sitting on a shelf and never released. A photo shoot for Thee Ungodly Hour was done and a release party was also held.

Lord Have Mercy then left Flipmode and Elektra stating that Busta Rhymes had not done what he had promised and released Thee Ungodly Hour. He also blamed him for holding his record release back and relegating him to being a "backup singer". A memorable quote from Lord Have Mercy was: and that Busta Rhymes proved to him something that he already knew, and that is you can't force on the public what they don't want to hear.

Songs
The album was comfirmed to have had four tracks which were "Say What Say What", "Paint Your Face", "Wicked Ways" and "Home Sweet Home". "Home Sweet Home" was featuring M.O.P., but Thee Ungodly Hour was scrapped when Lord Have Mercy left Flipmode. M.O.P. added the song to their album, Warriorz. The songs were also released as promos and included clean, dirty and instrumental versions and were also confirmed by the rapper himself on the old Lordhavemercy.com website which also had a audio sound bite with Lord Have Mercy stating that staring on the album with him besides M.O.P. were Fame from EPMD, Havoc from Mobb Deep and the Teamsters.

And that was the last heard of Thee Ungodly Hour.

Music videos
A music video was shot for "Say What Say What" in New York which started with Lord Have Mercy being chased by the public, jumping over cars, pushing people into garbage piles and running through subways before being cornered at the end of a street. Lord Have Mercy then clenches his fist, turns and faces the crowd and then chases them back as the music changes to "Wicked Ways".
