Rob Baird

Rob Baird (born in 1988 in Memphis, Tennessee) is a Texas country music singer and songwriter.
Rob was born and raised in Memphis, and spent most his life working on farms and ranches across the Midwest. During this time, Rob was introduced to country music of all kinds, but it wasn't until friends introduced him to artists like Chris Knight that he decided to pursue a career in Texas Country music. Rob has stated, "I started thinking about how great it would be to move to Texas and start playing music."
Rob would later pursue a degree in Ranch Management at Texas Christian University. After graduating in 2009, Rob moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he played his first live show at a local venue known as The Aardvark. It was after the success of this show that Rob decided to consider a career in music. So, he assembled a full band and continued playing bars and venues around Fort Worth, building a dedicated fan base among locals.
Feeling prepared, Rob and the band recorded their first self-titled album. Through extensive touring, Rob would meet and co-write with some of the most talented songwriters Texas has to offer. He went on to meet Nashville songwriter Scooter Carusoe who gave him inspiration as well as insight into the music business that ultimately pushed Rob to search for his own creative process.
Rob was nominated for "New Male Vocalist of the Year" for the 2011 Texas Regional Radio Music Awards.
The single "Mississippi Moon" was released on iTunes on October 11, 2011 with a complimentary bonus track "Slow Down Baby." The single reached #46 on the Texas Music Chart the week of its release.
