Stevo Maido

Stevo Maido is an Australian rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. The band is now based in London, England and consists of brothers Stevo and Paul, along with Laszlo.
Stevo Maido formed in their hometown of Melbourne, Victoria. They began playing small shows at Dandenongs's Lakeview Hotel and gigs in Croydon. Stevo and Paul attended Narooma High School before moving more permanently to Melbourne to pursue their music careers.
The band gradually progressed through live performances with acts like Cog and The Butterfly Effect on national tours. Their first big stadium show was supporting Airbourne in Auckland, New Zealand. They have also played the Trackside music festival in Canberra and were selected to open 11 shows alongside Wolfmother for AC/DC on the Australian leg of their Black Ice World Tour in 2010.
The band recorded their first album with their band manager and producer Tom Larkin, the drummer from Shihad. They recorded in his Melbourne studio in early 2010. The debut album, titled Stevo Maido, was released on 12 March 2010. They released the single "Fear of The Light", the title track from the album, in 2009 along with undertaking their own Go Hunting Tour.
Prior to the release, Stevo Maido had three singles from the album in high-rotation on Triple J. Fear Of The Light debuted at number one on the AIR Chart for Independent Label through Independent Distribution and number five for Independent Label through any Distribution. Following the success of the album, the group was labelled the AIR Mover of the Week on 24 March 2010.
