Rishul Karia

Rishul Karia is an English-born chess player, currently residing in London. Having pursued chess from an early age, Rishul Karia has made great progress, having represented England in several international tournaments. He was the first English player to ever receive the title U16 European Chess Champion, after being placed first in the Fédération Nationale des Échecs (FIDE) team championships in Karpacz, Poland at the age of 14.
Rishul started playing chess at the age of 5 with his dad, and has since competed at school, national and international levels. His many achievements include representing his school at the National Schools' Chess Team Championships on numerous occasions. Rishul is also one of relatively few, who can proudly proclaim that he played, at the time, world number 6 Viswanathan Anand at the London Chess Rapidplay at Olympia in 2014.
