Rilion Gracie

Rilion Gracie (born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in 1963) is a martial artist and a prominent member of the Gracie family. He is the youngest son and 20th child of Carlos Gracie the founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and holds the rank of 6th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He currently runs a martial arts school in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida.
He's a 6th degree black belt certified by the International Federation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Confederação Brasileira de Jiu-jitsu, and the Federação de Jiu-Jitsu do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Certified as a professor by both his father Carlos and his uncle Helio Gracie.
Rilion is the youngest son of Grandmaster Carlos Gracie, Sr. (the founder of Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). He has been involved in his father’s tradition since he was born.

In the early 1980s besides teaching at the Gracie Ipanema academy, he was a founding member of the Gracie JJ School in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, along with his older brothers Crolin and Carlos Jr.

In the early 1990s, Rilion decided to move to Santa Catarina (a state in south Brazil) to spread his family’s legacy, and establishing the Rilion Gracie Academy in Florianopolis.

Rilion has over 25 years teaching both Jiu Jitsu and MMA, and has been a professor and coach to many international champions including among them many representatives of the Gracie family (including Renzo, Ralf, Kyra, Rolles, Igor, Gregor, Daniel and Roger).

Personal
Rilion has one son, Roggan.
