Jamie Cruz is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner and a black belt under Renzo Gracie. He is the head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instructor at AMA Fight Club. Cruz has grappled in numerous tournaments including notable opponents like Diego Sanchez and Alex Stiebling. Martial Arts Background Cruz found his passion for jiujitsu unexpectedly. Originally taking Taekwondo classes at John Jay College, Cruz became bored with it and experimented with JiuJitsu. He quickly excelled and with the recommendation of his coaches he decided to make the transition to the Renzo Gracie Academy. JiuJitsu Credentials Cruz has been training in Jiu Jitsu for over 12 years and is a Black Belt under the legendary Renzo Gracie. Cruz was one of the nation's top competitor's on the grappling circuit and has won numerous titles and several tournaments including NAGA & Grapplers Quest advanced divisions.
