Richard Suchorzewski (born 1963) is a British politician and ex-Chairman of United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) in Wales. Between 1980 and 2004 he was a member of the Conservative Party. In 2006, Richard was elected onto the UKIP NEC, and also announced that he would be standing in the UKIP leadership election, against Nigel Farage, David Campbell-Bannerman and David Noakes. He achieved 1,782 votes, placing him second to Nigel Farage. Following Nigel Farage's victory, Richard resigned from his post as Chairman of UKIP Wales, in which role he was replaced by John Pratt, a Welsh cattle farmer, and from the party.. John Pratt himself resigned from the chairmanship in 2008.
