Richard Ossai

Richard Ossai is a 21 year old goalkeeper from Scarborough (England).
Richard has had a rather illustrious non-league career starting in the Conference North with Scarborough FC. After deciding to continue with his education, Richard signed for Cherry Knights in the Lincoln Saturday Football League. This proved to be a promising stepping stone for Richard in his career even though the standard of the football was considerably lower than what he was used to.
In the 2007/2008 season Richard signed for Nettleham FC (located close to Lincoln) in the Central Midlands Alliance. Nettleham suffered a poor season but Richard's outstanding performances in goal resulted in him spending pre-season for the 2008/2009 season with Lincoln United. After playing well in some pre-season friendlies for United, Richard was loaned out to Lincoln Moorlands Railway in order to gain first team football. Unfortunately Moorlands were a poor side and as a result Richard's confidence suffered. This coupled with a foot injury left Richard in the wilderness for two months over the Christmas period. After regaining his fitness and confidence Richard was placed back in the Moorlands starting XI for a short time until a further knock in his confidence from Moorlands manager Darren Dye unfortunately spelled an end to Richard's time at Moorlands. He was instructed to give the much coveted 'tracksuit' back ASAP.
Having completed his University education in the summer of 2009, Richard is coaching soccer in the USA and is currently in the process of setting up a coaching company specialising in providing a 'service'. The word on the grapevine is that Richard is in talks with Scarborough Athletic Football Club about a possible return, as Scarborough FC went out of business.
