Rexx Pincode

Rex Jideofor Okiche (born 9 June 1985), better known by his stage name Rexx is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer. He started his musical career at age 21, working on a yet unreleased album with Haunted Sounds (2006). In 2008, he joined forces with Chucky and formed the duo Pincode releasing their first single ‘Sharp Sharp’ in the same year. The duo rose to prominence in 2009 with the release of the song ‘Pincode’ from their debut studio album Pincode for President (2009).
Growing up and Education
Rexx is a native of Anambra State, but was born in Enugu State. He had his primary and secondary school education at Command Children’s School and Command Secondary School Lagos respectively. He is also a graduate of Computer Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Career
Rexx was first signed under Bravo Records as part of a duo Pincode. Their first single titled "Sharp Sharp" was released under the imprint but it was the follow up single titled Pincode produced by Wizboyy that became a massive hit in 2009.
After the success of the single and the release of an album titled Pincode for President, Rexx branched out to pursue a solo career.
On October 8, 2011 he released two singles Masquerade and Back to you, produced by Charlie X and got a lot of positive reviews. On Febuary 29, 2012 he followed up with Shokoto, which was a club favourite with a video that featured a cameo from Yemi Alade and was exclusively debuted on Trace Urban. September 7, 2012 saw the release of Original featuring Brymo , which is still to date one of Brymo’s best collaborations. In 2013 he was featured on Botswana rapper Zeus’ album titled African Time on a track called Fast 5. On March 28, 2014 Rexx was featured on a track called Highlife on Jesse Jagz third studio album Jagz Nation Volume 2. He also released a single Boku on the heels of this much talked about collaboration with Jesse Jagz . His latest single Mmanya is currently enjoying massive airplay. He has also collaborated with Wizboyy, Falz, Poe, Orezi and Solidstar.
