The Red Deer Rebels have produced team issued sets of hockey cards since the 1993/94 season. Most sets were sold complete and came in either sealed shrink-wrap, Mylar bags, Ziploc bags or team packs. Set prices were usually around $3 to $5 and were sold at the Red Deer Rebels souvenir shop at the Enmax Centrium. Of note are the first hockey cards of Dion Phaneuf, Cam Ward, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, James Reimer, Darcy Kuemper, Mathew Dumba and Alex Petrovic. Some of the issues came in two varieties, noted by subtle printing and lineup changes. In several of the years an autographed version was issued. Unfortunately for collectors, these autographed issues do not differ from the regular issue and are therefore hard to distinguish from a regular card that was autographed by the player at a fan event. A great catalog site for Red Deer Rebels collectibles can be found at The Rebels Geek website, a non-official website set up by a fan.
