DeeJay Real Mixwell, previously known as Real U, born Uriël Theunis, is an South African Internet Radio Jockey and entrepreneur. He is commonly known for his weekly show, Electrofusion, during the DeeJay Marathon, hosted on Saturdays by ToucH RadiO Internet Broadcasting. Real Mixwell, is the founder and former CEO of Radio Shawty, Co-Founder, Radio Jockey, and Head Technician of ToucH RadiO, as well as the Producer for P Playa Records and Eco-Releases Management. Biography The young DJ started notoriously, at the age of 15, when his passion for music had developed. Originally, the artist was inspired, since age 10, when he started rapping and emceeing, howsoever, from his passion of hip hop and urban music, he followed into the music world with the influence of becoming a radio jock. Although the title "RJ" was to be adopted, he changed the need of acquiring this title, after he created his own remixes. Based on the technology of Virtual DJ, the young DJ founded "Radio Shawty", a South African Internet radio service. The reason of its establishment was to promote the sounds of live upbeat music, as well as inspire others to do the same. As such the station was embraced with the motto "Living Life with Freedom and Striving for Success". Its slogan, however, played a different role; with the inspired skills gained by Real Mixwell, Radio Shawty was embraced with the slogan "Its for the Passion". This was a high rise in the Internet's Music sector, which initially promoted DJ Real Mixwell (Real U, at the time), along with independent Project Freecast webshows. Radio Shawty is still a modern day acknowledgment, even thought it formed a recurring patten of insufficient production, and discontinued its services due to bad management, non-profit, time managing problems and internal corruption. In January 2010, Real Mixwell had featured in discussions of creating a new station, along with DJ Ndwaz10. Ndwaz10, was the main DJ, for Radio Shawty. The two DJs, came into agreement of establishing ToucH RadiO, which was originally named House Roots by Ndwaz10. The station would reflex on the passion for House music. This was influenced by the inspiration gained by Ndwaz10. Likewise, as Real Mixwell endorsed Radio Shawty, Ndwaz10 produced Touch Radio, howsoever Real Mixwell was needed for technical establishments, as well as to apply the needed technology. The station was founded on February 5, 2010. By this establishment, Real Mixwell has therefore gained the nicknamed the "La Reality", due to the enabling of webcast technology, and for creating a technical foundation for ToucH RadiO. Along with his web radio establishments, he created his own album entitled Technotronic (2010). The album reflexed electronic beats, adapted from commercial and deep house music. Nicknames and titles DJ Real Mixwell has gained many nicknames, names and titles during his leap of creating music. Originally, the artist was known as Real U, but due to criticism, stereotyping and other types of negativity, he tended to perform a name change. The main reason for this is "He felt his name has lost its Pride", this was indicated in the 1st issue of the Radio De Touch Magazine. Real Mixwell had earned several nicknames as well, some which may of been forget now, and others which are commonly used. His top three nicknames are: * Young Ayisto * La Reality * The Realist Other nicknames include: * DJ Cruise or Cruisy - Which was his first DJ title. * The King of the Equalizer - Adopted from his DJ techniques. * RJ U-Nat or Unit - A name originally suggested for use, before the title Real U, was embraced. This was because he was a Radio Jock, and not necessarily a DJ. * Cruisemaster - This title, was gained from the name "DJ Cruise", and was originally used before the nickname "King of the Equalizer". It was used to describe his jock skills, and techniques, but this title has originally been replaced with the words, "Pure Blended", "The La Reality", and seldom, "Vinylantic". Career History Initially, it all started in 2007. Young, DJ Real Mixwell, (untitled, at that time, but afterwards known unofficially, as DJ Cruise or Cruisy) , had a striving passion for music. Thr name "DJ Real U", was then changed to Real Mixwell, on the 13 May 2010. Radio Jockey DeeJay Real Mixwell is an official signed radio jock at Touch Radio. He founded the station virtually, with DJ Ndwaz10, after the gained experienced from Radio Shawty. Originally Real Mixwell featured on "The Now and Again Remix Hour" called "Frivas Mix" (Frivas meaning Friday, with a twist to it, in order to intensify its priority and festivity), which was broadcasted on Radio Shawty, at 19H00 Central African Time (GMT+2). Howsoever, the show had been suspended due to other workloads Real Mixwell had been involved in. The show aired on some occasions, but was retired after the departure of Real Mixwell from Radio Shawty. Real Mixwell also featured on Project Freecast, as DJ Real U, by which various music was introduced and originally other DJ's had emerged from the Project Freecast service. This followed up with Real Mixwell's Christian Show, "Youth of Flame", which was broadcasted weekly on Sunday's on Project Freecast, as an external service of Radio Shawty. After signing to Touch Radio, Real Mixwell was then subject to change, and emerged as a radio jock featuring on his self hosted show "Electrofusion". The show was placed as part of the DeeJay Marathon (also known as the TRL Big 5 Marathon), by which Real Mixwell, mixes weekly, a wide variety of house music, but original Electo and Commercial House music. This show is one of Touch Radio's Grand House shows, which originally amplify, the stations motto, or aim. Production Initially Real Mixwell, is produced by P Playa Records, and Eco-Releases. This involves Self-production. The first product to be produced was the "Official DJ Real U Mixtape". It featured 23 tracks, 20 which were originally set to be distributed, and 3 promotional songs, in addition to the existing 20. The mixtape was produced in MP3 format, but has been subjected not to be released, as it is not and official album. Howsoever downloads are eligible on Internet. The second product produced was Real Mixwell's, "Technotronic" (2010). This is listed as his first album, and originally featured 14 songs. Other albums are set to production as well, including Real Mixwell's follow up album, "Reëlphonik". Album covers, Graphics and more, are all produced and supplied by "$HoshMagic$" Image Solutions, a sister company to P Playa Records. Discovery DJ Real Mixwell's, young talent, wasn't discovered as most artist. His is self-produced. Originally, Real Mixwell, is accustomed to perform, at private gigs, or venues, seeking, youthful entertainment, with a passionate personality, in the music industry, but, due to his radio appearances, his carrier, is driven and empowered as a Radio Jock. His production, with P Playa Records, is unprofitable, as the recording firm, only distributes albums, with help, from external sponsors, and supporters. As promised by P Playa Records, Real Mixwell's albums, will be privately produced, until, an on line music base is established, but financial problems, may delay this development. Thus, influencing, Real Mixwell, to remain, on the level of being a Radio Jock. With his singles, and album recorded tracks, broadcasted on a regular basis, on Internet Radio. Future Hopes DJ Real Mixwell, has mentioned manytimes, that his hopes to be "recognised for his talent, and not just produced". He is still studying at high school, As his original hopes, was to establish, Radio Shawty as an FM station, he has produced it as a Internet Radio station in August 2009, Discography Albums Technotronic (2010) Technotronic is DJ Real Mixwell's first album. DJ Real Mixwell, has also appeared on Freecast.co.uk, by which he broadcasted Radio Shawty external, "Youth of Flame Sundays" show, broadcasted between 12 & 2PM (GMT+2). His currently DJ's on Touch Radio, with his Solo Broadcasted Show, Electrofusion @ 4. Radio broadcast Many songs, of DJ Real Mixwell, have been broadcasted on Radio Shawty, as well as Freecast.co.uk. Initially, pre-recorded mixes, from his un-official "Pure Blend" album section, have also been played, all which are dedicated mixes. DJ Real Mixwell's, "Gospel Mix", found in "The Official DJ Real U Mixtape", along with "Jerusalem", and the sensational "My Help 3", were all broadcasted on his first Sunday radio show, on Freecast.co.uk.
