Josh began his career in music as lead guitarist of the band Nato. The album, "Kill The Fox To Foil The Plan" was released in the U.K through Rising Records when he was aged 17. The album spawned 2 singles "Kill 'em Dead Cowboy" and "Ballroom Dance With Angels And Demons" which gained airplay from the biggest radio stations in the U.K and had music videos on MTV. This was his production debut as 2 tracks on the album were entirely composed, produced and recorded by him. The album artwork was also designed by himself.
In 2007, Josh left Nato and decided to follow his passion for music production. He moved to the United States and Canada so he could produce Hip Hop, R&B and Pop artists under his stage name J.D BEATZ. Since then he has produced songs for hundreds of artists across the globe and has become known as one of the best young producers in the industry.

Musical career
Nato
After 2 years of songwriting, Josh began performing as lead guitarist of Nato in 2006 and after just 6 months of touring they signed a record deal with Rising Records. The album "Kill The Fox To Foil The Plan" was released in the U.K and spawned two singles "Kill 'em Dead Cowboy" and "Ballroom Dance With Angels And Demons" which gained airplay on Juice FM, BBC Radio 1 and had music videos on MTV. The song "Devils House Of Mirrors" was also played on a radio show by Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson. The album artwork was designed by Josh and he also composed, produced and recorded an intro and interlude to the album. Nato won 2 Cornish music awards for "Best Metal Band". Josh left the band in June 2007 to follow a career in music production by working with HipHop/RnB/Pop artists in the United States and Canada. After a bitter response from the band they continued without Josh with a new guitarist. After an argument within the band Josh's brother Luke was forced to leave the band involuntarily. With 2 replaced band members, numerous line up changes and songwriting difficulties Nato called it a day without making another album.
J.D BEATZ
After the band, Josh traveled the United States and Canada to produce HipHop/R&B/Pop artists and work his way up through the music industry as J.D BEATZ. With the industry contacts he made along the way he offered underground artists the chance to get heard by major record labels. After being recognized as one of the best underground producers around he was in high demand and showed his popularity by gaining over 400,000 hits on myspace, he worked his way up to indie artists and furthered his reputation with popular mixtape album releases such as "Heart Of The City" by Jay Burna and "Musik Of All Greatness" by Nicess. After producing hit songs for hundreds of artists he gained the attention of some of the biggest labels in the world. Multi-Platinum producers also had their say on J.D BEATZ, saying "J.D Beatz has a new and refreshing sound" - Auditory Beats (Platinum producer for Game) and "J.D Beatz has some heat!! GOOD S**T!!" - Cool & Dre (Multi-Platinum producers for Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and T-Pain).
