Rakesh Modi

Rakesh Modi (born 20 August 1966) is an Indian businessman and managing director of Mtandt Group. He was the CEO of Mtandt Group, a Chennai-based conglomerate from 1984-2014. He stepped up to supervisory board as the managing director on 15 December 2014.
Early life and education
Modi was born on 20 August 1966, in Nohar, Rajasthan, India. He is the eldest son of entrepreneur Shri Rajkumar Modi and Sarda Devi Modi. He is the first child of the third Generation of Shree Kisturchand Modi. He is Graduated (B.Com.) from Madras University and studied Fall Protection Engineering at Soll, Hof, Germany and underwent Rope Access Training at PETZL Institute - V Axes, Crolles, France.
Career
Modi is the founder of the Mtandt Group, whose constituent business enterprises are engaged in pivotal roles in the ongoing economic transformation of India. He is the Managing Director of the Mtandt Limited and Mtandt Rentals Limited. He joined the company Madras Tools and Tackles Limited founded by his father Rajkumar Modi, in 1984 as chief executive officer and is credited with pioneer in bringing aerial work platform and mobile access platforms in the Indian markets. He moved the focus of the company from traditional industrial product supplier to a specialist in solutions to reach and work at height safely. He brought team of professional to manage the growth of the company and changed the people based management system to system based management. He represent Mtandt on board of IPAF India and Builder Association of India.
Personal life
Modi is married to Alka Modi and has two children - Siddharth Modi and Simran Modi.
