Rahul Agrawal

Rahul Agrawal (born 15 January 1988) is an Indian engineer and a serial entrepreneur, better known as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of India's furniture e-commerce marketplace Mebelkart. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Early life
Rahul Agrawal is originally from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling from Kanpur itself. He studied B.Tech in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Career
After a 45-days internship in Delhi in his first year at IIT Kanpur, Rahul started making mobile games and sold these games to Dominos and Pizza Hut. After creating a bigger team, he started conducting workshops at IIT Kanpur and went on to form Young Engineers, a company with an annual revenue of Rs. 20 lakhs. He conducted workshops across the country in about 150 colleges in three years’ time and taught 600-700 students.
After his graduation, he shifted to Bangalore in 2012 to work for a startup called Picsean Media, where he met Ranjeet Vimal (alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay) & Nikhil Saraf (alumnus of BITS Pilani), the co-founders of Mebelkart, an online furniture solutions provider, aiming to provide a total home solutions package to customers.
In November 2012, Rahul Agrawal, along with Ranjeet Vimal and Nikhil Saraf founded Mebelkart, a managed online marketplace for furniture, furnishings, home décor, housekeeping items & modular kitchens headquartered in Bangalore, India. It consists of curated products sourced from reliable offline vendors as well as major furniture companies. It currently has 2,500 sellers who deliver to over 20,000 pin codes in India.
