Shailesh Gupta

Shailesh Gupta (born October 21, 1988) is an Indian Entrepreneur, programmer and Growth Hacker. He is the co-founder and chief operations officer of Innov8.
Early life and education
Shailesh grew up in New Delhi, India. He wrote his first software at the age of 16.
High School
He did his primary and secondary schooling at St. Anselm's School. Later, his family shifted to New Delhi where he studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj, New Delhi.
College/University
Shailesh received multiple degrees from the IIT Kharagpur (B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering) and Masters in Manufacturing Science and Technology).
He was member of technical team of Robotics where he participated and won national awards in consecutively for two years.
In his Junior year, he founded Ecozen Solutions with his friends to provide technical consultancy for smart energy solutions. His startup received Institute Director's Award for exemplary performance.
In his Senior year, he founded Business Club, IIT KGP to business strategies, consultancy, finance and banking to undergraduate students. He taught 250+ hours covering Finance, Strategies, Consultancy and Banking.
Fascinated by the world of entrepreneurship, he took courses in Algorithms, Computer Science, Economics, Financial Engineering, Law and Game Theory as additional in college.
Career
Innov8
Shailesh co-founded Innov8 along with his friends Ritesh Malik and Sumit Ranka in 2015. Innov8 launched it's first co-working campus in Dec'15 in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It received 1000 applications for its 136 member campus in Delhi. It received WeWork acquisition offer in Feb 2016. It opened it's second co-working campus in June'16 in Emporium mall, Chandigarh - the most livable city in India.
Innov8 is the first company in its sector to be accepted in Y Combinator accelerator program for it's summer batch of 2016. His brother, Nalin Gupta, is also Y Combinator founder. They share history with Sam Altman, Y Combinator founder & President, where there are siblings in different batches of Y Combinator.
Embibe
He joined India's leading edTech startup Embibe in 2014 where he led Product team and was responsible for launching it's mobile app for iOS and Android platform. He also set up Bangalore Office, staffing it with engineering, data science and product team.
AadhaarUp
Shailesh founded AadhaarUp in his final year at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. It aimed to solve e-commerce payment problems with unique, one click checkout experience on mobile and web. The company received funding from GSF. The team filed patents in the field of Biometrics, Encoder and Signal Processing. The co-founders of AadhaarUp later started Auro Robotics, another Y Combinator funded company, making self-driving shuttles a reality in United States.
Other Affiliations
Post AadhaarUp, Shailesh joined Khosla Labs for a brief period where he authored white paper titled ClearCoin - A Legal Bitcoin as primary author. He was responsible for building world's first cloud based Bitcoin Wallet for cross-border remittances.
