Rafomoyo Primary School

History
Rafomoyo Primary School is located about 23 kilometers north east of Mupandawana Growth point in Gutu District of Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe. Founded in 1918 the school is named after kraal head Rafomoyo of the Muchengi clan descendants of Nyashanu of the Shava totem.The school enrolls pupils from the surrounding villages namely Hanisi, Chifamba, Rutsvara, Gotosa, Mavhuma, Chiyaka, Simon, Musarurwa, Zinyemba, Muchohwe, Muntsi, Makanda. It is surrounded by the following primary schools, Guvamatanga, Mutanda, Chitepo, Shumbairerwa and Zvavahera. The school received a donation of piped water project in 1984 and also a secretary's merit award the same year.
Community
Rafomoyo primary school is located agro=ecological region 4. The community depends on peasant farming and with the erratic rains, the community has challenges with livelihoods hence impacting on their potential to pay fees and levies.
