Quincy A. Lucas

Quincy A. Lucas was the President/Founder of Witney's Lights Inc..
Lucas earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Delaware State University. She has worked as an educator in the Appoquinimink School District, Middletown, Delaware since 2003. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership at Wilmington University.
Throughout her career, Quincy has served in numerous leadership roles in state of Delaware, including, an appointment by the Governor to the Board of Directors for the Children's Trust Fund, Executive Board member of the Epsilon Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and the International Trends and Services Chairperson for the Dover, Delaware chapter of The Links, Inc. Recently, Quincy was selected to be a Scott-Hawkins Leadership Fellow for The Links, Incorporated,an honor bestowed to only 47 exemplary young leaders worldwide. Quincy is also a member of the Women of Color Task Force which is a statewide domestic violence awareness organization.
History was made in August 2008 when Quincy was chosen to give the Vice Presidential Nomination address at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. She is the first African American and the first Delawarean to hold this distinction.
Quincy lives in Dover, Delaware with her husband Dr. Kevin A. Lucas and children: Malcolm, Victoria and Benjamin.
