As a multinational student advocacy organization, Purple for Peace, International was created to provide a mouthpiece for students across the world on international political crisis that are relevant to the student generation.

Purple for Peace International is currently working in line with the Canadian based organization Citizens for Change , and may be working as campaign affiliate with the renowned Veterans for Peace. The Purple for Peace organization is rising greatly in influence, largely due to its recent undertaking of the Purple for Peace---Movement for Action in Darfur in 2008.

The Purple for Peace---Movement for Action in Darfur marks a pivotal point in the history of the Purple for Peace organization. The movement is currently present in all Purple for Peace locations across the world, and is steadily growing larger. It will not stop until the crisis in Darfur has been quelled.

The primary objective of the Purple for Peace movement is to gain the media attention and the momentum to push government officials in each of the represented nations to advocate a fast and effective response to the Darfur crisis within the United Nations. For five years, the United Nations has debated remedies that might end the crisis in Darfur, but has yet to compromise on a solution. Purple for Peace is a response to United Nations' lack of commitment to stopping the Darfur crisis.

Purple for Peace provides a way for students all over the world to express their concern for global crisis. It represents the interests of an entire generation, and it provides a facet of hope for the millions of innocent Sudanese refugees and civilians whose voices are silenced everyday by the decadent hands of their own government.

According to the Purple for Peace USA census , the current Purple for Peace USA strongholds are the cities of Baltimore, Maryland; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; New York City, New York; Tallahassee, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; San Diego, California; Berkeley, California; Los Angeles, California; Albany, New York; Dayton, Ohio
