PSTS Group

PSTS Group is an Indian Logistics conglomerate with its principal headquarters located in Tuticorin with presence of its own branches and associate offices across the country. Almost all holdings of the group are private. The group companies include PSTS Logistics Private Limited, PSTS Heavy Lift & Shift Limited and International Export Import Corporation.
History
PSTS was founded by Shri. PSTS Thiraviaratnam in Tuticorin. It started out as PSTS Shipping Agency in 1940 and has completed 75 years in the Logistics business in India. PSTS Logistics Private Limited is the flagship company of the PSTS Group.
Management
Management of almost all companies is by family members. Most of the group companies maintain a low profile and follow a conservative management style.

The flagship company. Its services include Shipping agency, Stevedoring, Port Infrastructure & Management, Sea & Air Freight, Customs Brokerage, Project Forwarding and Packaging & Warehousing.
PSTS Heavy Lift & Shift Limited
PSTS Heavy Lift & Shift Ltd. (PHLS) was established in 1995 to meet the specialized ODC/FTL transportation, heavy equipment hiring, O&M of CFS/ICD, In-Plant material handling & customised logistics solutions and warehousing needs of its clients.
International Export Import Corporation
IEIC is into pulses trading. It imports a whole range of pulses from major markets like Australia, Canada, China and Myanmar. IEIC imports a wide assortment of pulses like dun peas, chickpeas, pigeon peas, lentils and beans. It is located in Chennai & Tuticorin and supplies to all the major wholesale markets in South India.

Vikasa School
The Vikasa School, an ISO 9001-2000 certified school was started in 1996. It is affiliated to the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and sends candidates for the ICSE (class X) examinations.
Sundaram's Smile School
Sundaram's Smile Play School is a school for kinder gardeners providing holistic education to the children.
Industrial Training School
The group started the PSTS Industrial Training School in 2003, to develop skilled manpower in operating heavy material handling equipments.
Vikasa International School
Vikasa International School was started in the year 2013. The school intends to provide education at the international level which will enable its students to choose their career path anywhere across the globe. It is affiliated to Cambridge curriculum.
Vitta Classes
The Vikasa International Teachers’ Training Academy (VITTA) was started in the year 2010 to offer Advanced Diploma in Montessori Education from The International Montessori Kindergarten and Nursery Teachers’ Training Centre, Chennai, with a view to improve the quality and competence of Teacher Trainees.

* Year 2014-15: “Stevedore of the Year Award” for the second consecutive term in the 3rd edition of Cargo Scope 2015.
* Year 2012-13: “Stevedore of the Year Award” in the South East Cargo & Logistics awards 2013, instituted by EXIM India.
* YEAR 2012-13: PSTS Logistics was honoured with EXIM Service Award by Tamil Chamber of Commerce (TCC).
* YEAR 2011-12: Award for handling the highest tonnage of break-bulk cargo in the port of Chennai
* YEAR 2011-12: “Best Performance Award” by Port of Chennai.
* YEAR 2011-12: “D&B - Axis Bank Business Gaurav SME Award 2011” for the Logistics sector.
* YEAR 2010-11: “BEST STEVEDORE” by M/s Sterlite Industries.
* YEAR 2010-11: Traffic Performance Award by V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust for handling highest volume of Iron and steel cargo as stevedore.
* YEAR 2009-10: Award for Highest Tonnage of cargo handled as Stevedore in the port of Tuticorin.
* YEAR 2009-10: Award for handling Highest Volume of Coke handled in Single day.
* YEAR 2008-09: Award for “Excellence in Traffic Performance” from Tuticorin Port Trust for handling highest tonnage of cargo excluding thermal coal as stevedore.
* YEAR 2007-08: Award for “Excellence in Traffic performance” for highest amount of labour levy paid as stevedore.
* YEAR 2007-08: Award for handling highest tonnage of Import Break-bulk cargo as CHA.
Infrastructure
PSTS has its corporate office in Chennai and its administrative office in Tuticorin. It has its own branch offices at South East Indian Ports and has associate offices all over India.
