Progress index statisics

The Progress Index Statistical model was developed by statistician and measurement expert Samuel Matthew Akpan of the faculty of education, University of Calabar, Nigeria in 1995. This statistical model is highly acclaimed to have the capability of solving problems associated with tie ranks. In most competitive examinations, particularly selection examinations, there has always been a situation where more than one candidate scored the same total marks. Picking one and dropping the other will always result in conflict and litigation if not properly managed. This is where the progress index model comes in to be used to settle the matter with a pragmatically. This formula, also known as the standard magnitude variance ratio analysis, is endowed with more effective standardization manipulations as it takes into account every element or score.
