Priscilla Corner

Priscilla Corner is an Indian hair stylist and has a background in journalism writing as a style and beauty guru. She is one of the managing partners of the Salon June Tomkyns in Kolkata, along with being a celebrated jazz artist and poet.
History
Early life and education
Born in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh as the eldest daughter of entrepreneur June Tomkyns, she studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sagar until Class VII. From class VII to XII she attended Park English School in Kolkata.
By 1977, she had completed her 12th Standard board exam from Park English School, along with a Baccalaureate course in middle level English literature from Oxford University. Her hair styling education was done in Australia, where she completed the Toni and Guy classic cut hair course in 2005 and earned a Toni & Guy Education Academy Hair Diploma in June of 2010. The following year, she participated in the Wella Sasson Academy, Delhi course on hair.
Priscilla later obtained certificate in aromatherapy from the Indian Institute of Aromatherapy Natural Care in 2013 and a International Master Class in Hair from Wella (Germany) in the same year.
Career
Priscilla is one of the managing partners of the June Tomkyns chain of salons and is a member of the International Hair Coiffure Mundial. She is the official beauty and hair columnist of and has written columns for Femina magazine and Good Housekeeping. She is the Eastern Region head hair expert of the Fiama Di Wills brand and a member of the United Kingdom State Registered Hairdresser Federation of London. Priscilla has also been an active member of FICCI FLO, Kolkata Chapter.
Other accomplishments
She has been the stylist for a number of celebrities, including Riya Sen, Raima Sen, Churni Ganguly, and Rituparna Sengupta. Her written poetry has been published in An Anthology of Anglo-Indian Prose and Poetry. Priscilla has worked as a playback singer in the Bollywood movie Prem Aggan.
Personal life
Her father, Colonel J.J. Jones, was an army service personnel before he retired as colonel. She has four sisters and one brother. Priscilla is married with two children, Robin and Sarah.
