Nathan Akehurst

Nathan Akehurst (born February 18 1993) is a British-born socialist political activist and writer. Educated at Holland Park School in West London, he is studying History and Politics at Lincoln College, Oxford. He is standing Member of Youth Parliament for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, a member of the Socialist Workers Party, and part of the Coalition of Resistance. He is active within campaigns against climate change, runs the political blog 'Red Flag Flying', and has written for the Socialist Review. He recently campaigned against the transformation of Holland Park School into an academy. He holds the Parliamentary Press Gallery writing award, and has work published in a poetry anthology among other projects. |
