SpecTec is a supplier of ERP software covering maintenance, supply chain management and quality management to the Maritime, Defence and Offshore industries. The company was formed in 1985 from the Norwegian naval architects company Arnesen Christensen. The company acquired Marisoft AS (Norway) and Marine Management Systems (USA) and eventually merged with companies Multisoft, SpecTec and Dovre Informasjonssystemer to form the Visma Group. The SpecTec business was then acquired by Station 12, the satellite communications subsidiary of KPN, the Dutch national telephone company. The merged company was renamed Xantic BV. SpecTec became independent again in 2005. SpecTec is headquartered in La Spezia, Italy, and has 25 offices throughout the world. |
