PrintExpert is the name of a software package created for document automation in 1997-1998 by Ex-Cel Solutions, Inc. in Omaha, NE. The software used rules based assembly of data and electronic templates to generate documents directly to the printer. The software was sold to various companies including Woodmen of the World, Neuman Distributors, Universal Underwriter's Group (Zurich America) and Konica-Minolta. History The software started from a proposal to automate the insurance policies for World Insurance Company of Omaha, NE. This project lasted from 1997-1998 and resulted in the creation of a product that was useful for other insurance and manufacturing companies to automate the assembly of document packets. The product was sold and used by companies well into 2006 after which the product was replaced by another product. Design The software used Jetform technology especially Jetform Central, and was built using the Gupta software development language.
