Didier Castell-Jacomin is a French pianist born in Marseille on 1st May 1970.
Biography
Didier Castell-Jacomin began studying piano at the age of 4 years. He meets György Cziffra in Senlis at the age of 11 years, then was admitted to the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice or it is graduated in 1988 from the classes of piano, music theory and deciphering.
In 1988, after having obtained his Bachelor at the lycée Masséna in Nice, he studied at St Maur des Fossés with Catherine Collard, and then he met pianist Riccardo Zadra.
He will be accepted in the international school of Piano, Foundation International Centre of studies Musicales (ICES) Mozart in Lausanne and in Rome for twelve years.
In 1991, he interpreted the concerto K.414 Mozart's first at two concerts of friendship France-Québec, in Nice, under the direction of Quebec conductor Roger-Luc Chayer who called Castell-Jacomin of artist "sculpting musical notes as a tinsmith sculpts iron".
Caroline Haffner, Executive Director of the "New Year Music Festival]" fact appeal to the pianist in 2009 to interpret (among others) a Haydn concerto (Haydn year).
At his concert at the théâtre de l ' Athénée in Paris in October 2009, Eve Ruggiéri made the presentation of his recording "Polonia" (recital of works by f. Chopin).

This same year the composer Florent Gauthier published a work (the characters in Aedam Musicae that he dedicates to Christelle Abinasr and Didier Castell-Jacomin. The latter will be the creation of this work in 2012.
