Joel Ellis is an American frontman and singer of the bands Cats In Boots and later Heavy Bones. Born in the 70s he formed rock band The Hoax, this band split up after recording one demo. He later formed the half-Japanese, half-American band Cats In Boots who he recorded one demo two albums with. Cats In Boots reached #3 in the Japanese charts with the single Her Monkey but never had any US success so quickly split up after they where dropped by their American label. Joel then joined the band Heavy Bones in 1990 which became a much bigger success but still only recorded one album and split up shortly after. Joel continued to front bands after the Heavy Bones break up and but is still looking for a band at the moment.
