Prince Fahad bin Faisal Al Saud

His Royal Highness, Prince Fahad bin Faisal Al Saud, (born July 3, 1983) is a member of the Saudi Royal Family in the House of Saud. He currently works in the Legal Department for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Los Angeles, California where he is the Foreign Ministry's Head of Student Affairs. Prince Fahad also serves as the business development and research lead for a Los Angeles-based joint alternative energy project between UCLA and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. Going by the name of Fahad al Saud, he is also an actor in Los Angeles. He plays "Amir" in the popular comedy web-series The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl.
Personal Life
Fahad al Saud was born on July 3, 1983 in Taif, Saudi Arabia into the House of Saud. He attended primary and secondary school in Saudi Arabia. He graduated in 2003 and went on to study at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. There he founded the university's first Islamic Society. He graduate in 2007 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a double minor in Management Sciences and Middle Eastern Studies. Al Saud is a venture capitalist and owns several companies, including and venture capital firm, a travel agency, a consulting firm, and a real estate development firm. He is also founder and CEO of Da Qingdom, LLC, a financial services firm based in Woodside.
Diplomacy
Prince Fahad works as a diplomat in the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia as the Foreign Minitry's Head of Student Affairs in Los Angeles. In 2011, he delivered at speech at the NATO Defense College Foundation Conference entitled "Social Networks and Arab Society" about Social Media in the Arab Spring, regarding politics and gender specifically. He was honored as the Arab Youth Media Forum’s 2011 Most Influential International Youth for his work in politics, diplomacy, and social media.
Acting
Fahad al Saud is an actor, starring in Issa Rae's hit Youtube web-series The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl. He plays the ethnically ambiguous, racially insensitive, self-absorbed character named "Amir". Fahad and Issa Rae met while attending Stanford where they auditioned for a play together. He had not acted seriously prior to that experience, but now Issa Rae's show is becoming increasingly popular.
