PoondiApp is a location-based social and dating applications which let you discover live stories from users nearby and see what's popular around the world. It is the Pakistan's first social and dating mobile application. It is the Pakistan's first social and dating mobile applciation. History PoondiApp was founded by Ashar Jamil with seed investment of $10,000. Beta version of the app was launched earlier in 2016 and it received overwhelming response by users. The app reached to 1000 downloads within month. Unfortunately, the app had many short comings. Therefore, it was temporary removed from the Play Store. PoondiApp was covered by many well-known blogs even before its launch. It received the both positive and negative responses due to its controversial name. Despite the fact, it is social networking and chat app, it was confused with dating app. Operations The app is free to use. A person discreetly signs into the app using Facebook or by filling the personal data manually. Choices are made as to the singles or couples a person is looking for, the geographical search area, and sexual preferences. The app is getting a complete overhaul and its android version is expected to be released by the end of this year with many new features such as live streaming, City broadcasts and News feed.
