Playerist ISSN 2048-2515 (Print) is a free or cost-price not-for-profit arts zine edited and published by Martin Slidel (London, 2011). It is billed as ‘a small constellation of words and images.’ International contributors include: installation artist Karen Ay; printmaker Andrea Bierwirth; body-percussionist Pedro Consorte; poet Caroline Davies; performance writer Yassin Edgeley; graphic artist Mario Herran; artists Carlo Keshishian and Koki Mitzutani; digital imager Benjamin Söhnel; photographer Paul Tucker and playwright Alex Williams. ‘Playerist’ is a pedagogic terminology penned in Slidel's 2009 dissertation ‘Preschool or Postmodern’ (The Newsam Library, University of London). |
