Phil Vinall BIOGRAPHY Phil learned his craft in London as the classic tape operator for bands such as Flock of Seagulls, Mark Knopfler or XTC. At the beginning of the 90s, he established his reputation of being a producer with taste, a fact well borne out by his success with bands such as The Auteurs, Pulp and Gene. Subsequently, his path is strewed with hits whereby the single productions of Placebo’s “Nancy Boy“, „Pure Morning“ und „Every You Every Me“ are certainly the most outstanding. For the last years Phil has been an enthustiastic traveller, particularly to Mexico and that also has borne fruits. In 2007 Phil was nominated for the South American grammy as best producer for his work on the best alternative album with the band Zoe.
