Carlos Sepulveda

Carlos Sepulveda is a Swedish/Chilean musician and producer. Playing guitar in the futuristic/psychadelic inspired hardcore band Psycore, he made his international breakthrough. The band consisted of vocalist Markus Jaan, guitarist Carlos Sepulveda, bassist Hansi Baumgartner and drummer Hans Wilholm. Psycore disbanded after the second album "I'm Not One of Us" the year 2000. Later, Markus Jaan and Carlos Sepulveda founded a brutally fat sounding group called Sweden's Finest. This band also disbanded after its second album. Another project was also created by Sepulveda and Jaan, the alternative electronica group "Mikrotone" also featuring Freddie Wadling. Again, a short lived project with only one release titled "Spraylove". Sepulveda founded the studio Belly of the whale studio in order to record and produce these projects. By this time, Sepulveda also started to get involved with documentary scoring resulting in several projects. The most successful " Corazon Verde" won the best new media award at the Venezia film festival 2002. The documentary draws attention to the threat global economy has on one of the last uncontaminated and most beautiful regions of the planet, Patagonia. Carlos Sepulveda later founded the band Revenge of Lorenzo together with Per-Henrik Mäenpää. Revenge of Lorenzo disbanded in 2008, the reason given was a lack of time to concentrate on this project.
