Pelin Thorogood is a U.S. marketing executive, entrepreneur and Cornell guest lecturer who helped define the sales intelligence industry. She is a frequent guest speaker and author on inbound marketing, demand generation, social selling and creating a virtuous marketing cycle. She was recently nominated as one of the “20 Women to Watch” by the Sales Lead Management Association (SLMA). Thorogood is currently a principal in Schulman+Thorogood Group, a business strategy consulting practice advising technology and new media companies, including InsideView, Limelight Networks, Eightfold Logic, Online Marketing Connect and others. Her partner Rand Schulman is one of the first practitioners of web analytics. Previously, Thorogood was senior vice president at WebSideStory (now Adobe). Before that, she was the director of product marketing at Peregrine Systems (acquired by Hewlett-Packard). Thorogood’s past speaking experiences include the MIT Enterprise Forum, Cornell Strategic Marketing Conference, Online Marketing Summit, DIGIDAY, and Salesforce.com's Dreamforce. Her articles have appeared in Cornell Enterprise Online, InsideCRM, Selling Power and other publications. Thorogood is a guest lecturer and virtual entrepreneur-in-residence at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. She has also served as a judge for the SIIA Codie Awards and the Sales and Marketing 2.0 awards. Thorogood holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research, Master of Engineering and MBA degrees, all from Cornell University.
