Pedro Mantellini

Pedro Mantellini (Energy Economic Advisor)
Mr Mantellini has over 27 years of experience in the energy industry, including 17 years in the Venezuelan oil industry. While in PDVSA, he held a number of senior positions including General Manager for External Technical Affairs, General Manager of CIED, Corporate Strategic Planning Advisor, Business Development, also was special Advisor on Strategy Planning and Energy to the Presidency Office of PDVSA. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Development Theories from the CENDES-UCV (1998), a MBA from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (1996), and a Bachelor Science of Syracuse University (1979).
Mantellini also served as Managing Director of Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana (CVG), Venezuela 's state- owned corporation for mining and hydro-power generation, and President of the Aluminum sector in Venezuela CVG VENALUM (2005-2006). For a number of years Mr. Mantellini lectured at Universidad Central de Venezuela and he is presently Visiting Lecturer at the Florida International University and the USAEE.
Mantellini has several books written, among them: "The Water Crisis in the Middle East" (1986); "Mexico: Energy Economics" 1998; :Conozca a los Estados Unidos de America" (2008).
