Paul Shay

Paul Luther Shay is a rower from the United States of America. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and first began rowing in high school with the Fox Chapel Crew Club where he first met Tyler Winklevoss.
He currently holds the lightweight world record for a marathon row, 42,195 meters, between males 13-18 years of age. He completed his marathon in 2 hours, 44 minutes and 56 seconds, just moments before competitor William Cooper.
He now attends the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He still rows in the lightweight category for the Pennsylvania Quakers, and serves as their captain. In the fall of 2011 Shay will begin pursuing his graduate degree in Fine Arts at Temple University.
