Shafkat Chowdhury

Shafkat Ahmed Chowdhury, born in Dhaka, Bangladesh is an American Aerospace Engineer. He had the key role in designing NASA’s Integrated Mission Avionics & Reconfiguration Software (IMARS). His other contribution included Embedded system development for Unmanned aerial vehicle, Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle, Bradley Fighting Vehicle. His biography is being published in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
Biography
Shafkat A. Chowdhury was born in 13 November 1958 at Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father M. A. Chowdhury was the former Finance Director of Bangladesh Water Development Board.
Education
Shafkat Completed his Undergraduate coursework at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh and obtained bachelor degree in Electrical engineering. Later on, he came to United States and obtained Master's degree in Industrial technology from Sam Houston State University at Huntsville, Texas.
Career
Shafkat started his career in Microcomputer Industry in the year 1986 in Bangladesh and continued his effort in developing end user application. In the year 1992, he came to United States and began working with PC clone manufacturing companies as a Consultant and later on, he went to Sam Houston State University at Huntsville, Texas and attended Graduate school. In 1999, employed by United Space Alliance (USA), he began working at Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center on NASA’s Integrated Mission Avionics & Reconfiguration Software (IMARS) project, an embedded flight software project pertaining to the International Space Station, he was responsible for IMARS design and Systems engineering analysis, this software generates products that are used for control system operation of International Space Station. He became a naturalized American citizen in 2000 and also worked as an Avionics Consultant Engineer for various world renowned Aerospace Companies.
