Girivasan Thirumazhisai Chakravarthy

Girivasan Thirumazhisai Chakravarthy Iyengar (born March 5, 1967) whose surname is Vasan is a Tamil Indian who was holding Guinness World Record and Global World Record for typing the English Alphabet (with space between alphabets) in the fastest time, 4.71 seconds. He beat the record of Mr. Ravirala Jayasimha, who held the record for typing the English alphabet in 5.03 seconds. The record breaking event took place in Pondicherry Beach, India, on 28 November 2010 and was inaugurated by Mr. N. Rangaswamy, former Chief Minister of Pondicherry. Girivasan made this attempt on the Birth Anniversary of Shri. KVK Raju the Founding father of Nagarjuna Group.
The Guinness Record of Girivasan is the second by a Pondicherry citizen and the first by a Pondicherry citizen to be achieved in Pondicherry. His record was also certified by Elite World Records.
His record was subsequently broken by Mr.Sudhakar Raju (India) at Press Club in Anantapur, India, on 13 February 2011.
Girivasan is attempting his Second Guinness Record for Longest Marathon Ironing. The current record for longest ironing marathon is 75 hours and was achieved by Ben Walton (UK) in Asda supermarket, Andover, UK, on 6-9 July 2011.
Girivasan T.C hailed from Triplicane and completed his schooling from The Hindu Higher Secondary School. He has an MBA in Supply Chain from School of Business Logistics, Singapore and holds Post Graduate Degrees in Commerce, Business Economics and Public Administration. He also holds Bachelor Degree in Business Law (BBL). He is a Certified Black Belt Professional in Six Sigma and a Certified Lean Professional. He is one among the very few Certified SCOR Professionals in India. He obtained SCOR/P Certification from Supply-Chain Council, USA. He is also a PMP (Project Management Professional) and a PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) certified by PMI, USA.
He is currently working as a Supply Chain Professional.
Girivasan is a firm believer and follower of the principle "Think Big. Aim High. Do Good", advocated and followed by Shri. KVK Raju, Founder Father of Nagarjuna Group.
